Definitions of various terms that are found during the study of Christian topics.

Credo baptism: a belief that only people with faith in Christs' atoning work should be baptized.
Pedo baptism: a belief that infants should be baptized.
Trinity: a belief that the Father, Son and Holy Spirit are of the same essence but separate, individuals, each properly called God.
Dualism: a belief that the mind and body are separate objects, or that there are more than one individuals in the universe.
Monism: a belief that the mind and body are different expressions of the same object, or that there is only one Consciousness in the universe.
Molinism: a belief that states God knows what you would have done or what you would be like if you were born somewhere else, or sometime else. It seems to require some type of "Middle Knowledge".
Eucharist: a form of Communion but believes that the bread and wine are literally Christs' body and blood instead of being symbols, and that it is another or continuing sacrifice of Christ. I wonder what DNA testing would show.
Dispensationalism: created by John Nelson Darby in the 1800's. A belief that God has dealt with man in seven different periods of time or dispensations and man will be raptured in a Pre-Tribulation event. This is somewhat opposed to Covenantalism or Covenant Theology.
Covenant Theology: a belief that God had dealt with man via covenants, of works and of grace.

Eschatology: the study of "Last Things".
Teleology: the study of "why something seems designed", or that there was a purposeful creation.
Pneumatology: the study of the Holy Spirit.
Soteriology: the study of Salvation.
Christology: the study of Christ.
Eisegesis: reading your meaning into the Word.
Exegesis: pulling out the meaning of the Word.
